What they wanted:

Elite Island Resorts requirement was to streamline the reservations processes between the UK and US sales offices. The company required seamless realtime reservations which synced bookings internationally. The requirement was also to maximise online connectivity with all UK Tour Operators and online travel agencies.The Group also required us to create an environment for which traditional interline bookings could be taken online.

What Centrium Systems delivered:

Centrium Systems delivered a unifying XML solution with the flexibility in all aspects to maintain everyday operations as separate businesses, incorporating separate Online Booking systems for each Hotel. The system allowed XML connectivity for its major partners in addition to allowing Travel Agents and Tour Operators the facility to book online via an agent online booking engine www.rmidirect.co.uk. In addition, a separate module was created to allow interline bookings to be made online with specific user codes and access for varied rate distribution at www.interlinebyelite.co.uk.

The company offers flight and hotel packages in over 600 destinations. As part of their ongoing expansion into new markets and growth of existing ones, British airways Holidays is rapidly expanding its portfolio in the Caribbean.

What they wanted:

British Airways Holidays requirement was to increase their Caribbean holiday sales with Elite Island Resorts. Specifically they required a system which allowed both hotel inventory and special offers to be updated realtime and which offered online booking via XML, with the potential to significantly increase bookings and improve business efficiencies.

What Centrium Systems delivered:

Centrium Systems delivered a unifying XML solution which allowed Elite Island Resorts to connect to British Airways Holidays via a ‘seamless’ connection process. The solution enabled the transfer of data and application of business rules for rates, availability and reservations data between hotel property management, central reservation and distributor systems, regardless of the type or age of the technology.

The core connectivity platform gave Elite Island Resorts a single point-of-control to precisely manage the distribution and translation of their product information to British Airways Holidays.

Centrium Systems and its partners provided a broad and exceptionally high reliability interface between the hotel and Tour Operator, in addition to addressing and managing the messaging and business logic discrepancies inherent to connecting multiple supplier systems to multiple distribution systems.

The platform supports all rate types, all inventory types, policies and restrictions, enabling Elite Island Resorts to manage their sales strategy down to the rate plan and room type level. All of this helps to ensure rate parity and best-rate guarantees.

Centrium Systems delivered an XML solution, which was integrated within 7 days, providing Travelday with access to realtime rates and availability allowing their resevations team to quote instantly both over the telephone and online. In addition, an online booking engine was created at www.rmidirect.co.uk which allowed them to book instantly for manual bookings. The connectivity between the systems has delivered a sales increase of more than 100%.

Resort Marketing International has signed up another leading travel company, Letsgo2, to its XML system, Centrium for Elite Island Resort bookings.

Centrium will significantly increase speed to market for bookings in the group’s properties in Barbados (The Club Barbados Resort & Spa), Antigua (St James’s Club & Villas, Verandah Resort & Spa and Galley Bay), St Lucia (St James’s Club Morgan Bay), The Grenadines (Palm Island) and the British Virgin Islands (Long Bay Beach Club).
